Our Special Angel, Florence Marie Massie, 83, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 30, 2013 at Hillcrest Manor in Blackwell, OK. She was born on January 8, 1930 in Washunga, OK to Luelza and Viola (McCleary) Randolph, where she grew up and went to school until her family moved to Blackwell in 1942.
She married Edward Massie on October 18, 1952 in Stillwater, OK, there were 4 children born to this union, Virginia, Betty, Carolyn and Edna, they made their home in Ponca City. Florence was a homemaker and loved raising her Chihuahuas, goats and helping others. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and spoiling her grandkids.
Florence was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 children; Betty and Carolyn, 2 brothers; Robert and Luelza Randolph, sister-Anna Coffee and 1 son-in-law Cecil Suggs.
Florence is survived by 2 daughters; Edna Suggs and husband Max of Blackwell, Virginia Suggs of Garber, 1 Step-daughter- Linda Miller and husband Larry of Mabelvale, AR. 10 grandchildren; Marsha Massie-Wedman and husband Leon, Patricia McCulloch and husband Gerald, Robert Hurley, Jr., Brandy Epperly and husband Paul, Kayla Suggs and significant other Joey Shelton, Kimberly Suggs all of Blackwell, Neal Scrimsher of Enid, Bradley Suggs of Garber, Deanna and Randy Trammel of Garber, Charlotte Pemberton-Ropp and husband Rowdy Ropp of Blackwell, numerous great grandchildren and 2 step great-grandchildren. Brother -Raymond Randolph and wife Kathy of Mannford and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 7, 2013 at Grace Memorial Chapel with Pastor Randy Ratliff officiating. Burial will follow next to her husband in Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery, Ponca City, OK. Casket Bearers will be; Randy Randolph, John Randolph, Chris Randolph, Terry Randolph, Robert Randolph and Michael Randolph. Honorary Casket Bearers will be; Vernie Suggs, Neal Scrimsher, Bradley Suggs, Robert Hurley, Jr., Michael Poulson and Derek Hurley.
She touched many lives and was loved by all she came in contact with and will be dearly missed.
