November 18, 1923 - March 21, 2021

Margie Lee Marler, 97, of Ponca City, Oklahoma, left this life on March 21, 2021. Viewing will be from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, March 29, 2021, at Trout Funeral Home Chapel in Ponca City, with family present from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A private burial will take place at Resthaven Memorial Park in Ponca City. Face masks are required. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave., Ponca City, OK 74601.

Margie Lee (Baird) Marler was born on November 18, 1923, in Tonkawa, OK to Warren and Ethel (Mahood) Baird. Margie attended Tonkawa Public Schools graduating from Tonkawa High School, class of 1942. After completing High School Margie attended Nursing School within the Ponca City Hospital, Margie enjoyed being a Nurse, early in her career she was sent to Norfolk VA to aid in the care of Military Service Men. Due to an injury Margie had to leave her Nursing days behind. She continued her career at the Ponca City Hospital in the Medical Records Department until her retirement.

While living in Tonkawa a friend of Margie’s introduced her to a handsome service man; Relus L Marler, it was love at first sight, Margie and Relus were united in marriage November 23, 1944. Margie and R.L. had a life long love celebrating 67 years of marriage before R.L.’s passing in 2012. Four children were born to this Union.

The couple loved to travel especially to one of their favorite destinations Laughlin, NV. After the couples retirement the Marler’s owned and operated Ceramic City in Ponca City for 20 years. Margie was also a proud member of the Eastern Star and the White Shrines.

Survivors include: children, Inal Lee Keiss and her husband, Fred, of Lee's Summit, MO, Ron Marler and his wife, Cheryl, of Tonkawa, OK, Warren Marler, of Red Rock, OK, LaDonna Davis and her husband Gary, of Ponca City, OK; grandchildren, Tony, Toni, Rodney, Kisha, Desiree, & Brooklee; numerous great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren, family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
