Steve Keller, longtime resident of Ponca City, passed Friday, March 25, 2011 at his home to be with his Lord and Savior. He was 73.

Steve was born February 19, 1938 at Ponca City, the son of Fred Keller and Gladys Small Keller. His childhood was in the Sand Hills of Kansas and in Montana before moving back to Ponca City where he enjoyed romping around Osage County on his grandparents farm. He graduated from Ponca City High School in 1956 and completed the National School of Avionics in Kansas City. Steve was married to Shirley Adkins on April 13, 1957 in Perry, Oklahoma. He worked for Eastern Airlines, Central Airlines, JAMTO with the government and retired with Frontier Airlines in Ponca City. Steve enjoyed fishing, telling jokes, volunteering, his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, traveling with friends, visiting with neighbors.

He is survived by three children. Steve was a great father to his son Steven Keller and wife, Penny, of Ponca City, two daughters, Shelly Jobe and husband, Chris, of Stillwater, and Stacy Hall and husband, Dale, of Ponca City.

Steve was also blessed with nine grandsons, Ryan Keller and companion, Karin Ross, Andy Keller, Shawn Keller and wife, Jamie, Randy Keller and wife, Lisandra, Mark Keller and wife, Tiffany, Aaron Keller and wife, Tina, Kelsey Peyton, Nick Hall and companion Merrick Hoffman and Jared Hall and close friend, Ashley Peitz. One brother, Dennis Keller and wife, Jeanine, of Tulsa three great granddaughters, Lauren Keller, Cheyenne Keller and Emma Brooks with a fourth great granddaughter, Nora Keller, on the way four great grandsons, Neiko Borders, A.J. Keller, Isaiah Keller and Kolbie Keller. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Shirley, on July 21, 2005.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2011 at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
