Michael Andrew Jackson, died Tuesday, December 1st, 2020 in Ponca City, OK at the age of 70.

Mike was born on November 3rd, 1950 in Blackwell, OK to Carmen and Dorothy Jackson. He graduated from Blackwell High School in 1969 and went on to serve in the Tonkawa National Guard. He later worked for Conoco in Ponca City as a Repairman, where he dedicated over 25 years of service.

In his early years, Mike enjoyed playing baseball in the American Legion, raising FFA animals and pranking his sister. Mike married Diane Rowe in 1977 in Blackwell, OK where he was later blessed to use those early life baseball skills for his sons; spending time coaching little league for both in the 1980s and 1990s.

Mike was perhaps the best when it came to watching Ace Ventura and eating pizza with his family, three times a week. He even made a Chrysler LeBaron look good. In his final years, he maintained his humor during tough times. Mike’s memory will be cherished by his family and friends; he will be greatly missed.

Mike is survived by two sons and two grandchildren; Zach Jackson and his wife, Liz with their son Gray of Ponca City, OK, Toby Jackson and his son, Jhet of Blackwell, OK, his sister, Gayle Kelso of Enid, OK, a niece, Christie Ahsmuhs of Olathe, KS and his father, Carmen Jackson of Enid, OK. He is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Jackson of Enid, OK and both maternal and paternal grandparents.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at Resthaven Memorial Park in Ponca City, OK. Trout Funeral Home & Crematory will oversee the proceedings.
