Robert Lynn Huff was born on April 2, 1943 to Robert and Berndeam (Whitehead Daugherty) Huff in Watonga, Oklahoma and passed away September 24, 2016.

Robert was raised in the Watonga area. He started school at the Cordell Country School located near the family home southeast of Watonga, OK. He transferred to Watonga schools where he graduated high school in 1961. He received a business degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, OK. Robert worked in hospital administration at Watonga Memorial Hospital for 10 years. Robert loved the land. He ranched cattle and had a custom wheat harvest operation. He built barns and pipe fence all over western Oklahoma and Texas. He married Jeanette Carr on July 18, 1992. He moved to Ponca City and built metal buildings until his health wouldn't allow it anymore. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle with Jeanette, touring several states. He served as Chapter Director of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association and also rode with the Christian Motorcyclist Association. Robert was a member of the Eastern Heights Christian Church in Ponca City, OK at the time of his death.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gerald Daugherty and sister-in-law, Marilyn Daugherty, and one grandchild, Christopher Carr.

Robert is survived by his wife, Jeanette of the home in Ponca City, children, Matthew Huff and family of Ponca City, Michael Huff and family of Wheaten, MD, Jeffrey Carr and family of OKC, David Carr and family of Tucson, AZ, Marcie Baldwin and family of Okmulgee, OK, Douglas Carr and family of Tucson, AZ, Stephen Carr and family of Morrison, OK, one sister, Joy Phillips and husband Leroy of Watonga, OK, one brother, Marvin Daugherty of Mustang, OK, one sister-in-law, Veva Daugherty of Watonga, OK, 21 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Robert loved the Lord and ask all to join him in this love.

A funeral ceremony will be held Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Eastern Heights Christian Church with Pastor Danny Cox Officiating. Following the ceremony, he will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Casket bearers are Matthew Huff, John Wiles, Don Keathly, Charles Stuckey, Ed Easley, and Dwight Beck. Honorary casket bearers are Lewis Anthony, LeRoy Phillips, Jack Snyder,Greg Dunn, and Bud Ashpole. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Eastern Heights Christian Church, 5100 Lake Road, Ponca City, OK 74604 or the Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, 445 Fairview Ave., Ponca City, OK 74601.
