Helen Lorene Craft, longtime resident of Ponca City, passed away Monday, December 20, 2010 at the Ponca City Medical Center. She was 87 years of age.
Helen was born September 2, 1923 at Tonkawa, Oklahoma, the daughter of Harold Sterling Breidenbach and Wanda Stewart Aldridge Breidenbach. She was a graduate of Tonkawa High School. She was married to Bobby L Craft on September 12, 1964 in Perry, Oklahoma with the couple making their first home in Ponca City. She had been a member of the Southside Baptist Church and later the Providence Baptist Church. Helen was a former hairdresser and her enjoyments included visiting with family and friends, gardening, crafts, collecting and selling antiques, dolls, bowling and fishing. She also had a great love for dogs.
She is survived by her son, Joe Congram and wife, Kathy, of Brenham, Texas one daughterinlaw, Fern Congram of Houston, Texas and one stepson, Tim Craft and wife, Sharron, of Ponca City one sister, Bernice Poe and husband, Carson, of Dallas, Texas 6 grandchildren, Jeff Congram, Steven Congram, Becky Hilton, Wendy Dickinson, Sherry McIntire and Liana Congram 10 great grandchildren, Taylor Dickinson, Jennings Dickinson, Charlie Dickinson, Elliott Dickinson, Stacey Lazarine, Jason Congram, Christian Hilton, Aaron Hilton, Meagan Congram and Sarah Congram 4 great great grandchildren, Layla Lazarine, Grace McIntire, Nathan Darrow and Alana Congram. She was preceded in death by her parents her husband one son, Gary Congram one brother, Don Breidenbach and one sister, Theda Blubaugh.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Blaine Herron, pastor of the Foursquare Gospel Church presiding. Arrangements are under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
