Mrs. Katheryn Y. Cotten, 46, Tripoli, Libya, died Monday at St. Anthony hospital after an extended illness. Services are pending with Watts Funeral Home.

Mrs. Cotten, a native of Holdenville, moved to Libya about six years ago. She formerly was from Shidler and Oklahoma City where she graduated from Capitol Hill high school. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star and was a Methodist.

Survivors include her husband, William; two sons, Robert C., Switzerland, and William Jr., Stillwater; a daughter, Mrs. Howard Ferguson, Alamogordo, New Mexico; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Grady L. Yandell, 3036 SW. 64th; two brothers, Gloyd D., Yandell, Corpus Christi, Texas, and Ronnie Yandell, Lockhaven, Pennsylvania, and four sisters, Mrs. Sherman Rueb, 1122 NW. 81; Phyliss Yandell, Tulsa; Mrs. Erma Rose, Midwest City, and Mrs. Walter Brecht, Oklahoma City.

Entered Into Eternal Rest Thursday, July 7, 1977

Services for William Burroughs Cotten, 57, of 707 N. McArthur, will be at 10 AM Monday at Guardian Watts Funeral Home, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, Ponca City. Cotten died Thursday at Baptist Medical Center following an apparent heart attack.

Cotten worked for Phillips Petroleum Company. He served during World War II in the Army Air Corps. After leaving Phillips, he worked for Oasis Petroleum Company in Libya as a production supervisor.

Cotten was a member of Shidler Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include two sons, Robert, Oklahoma City, and William B. Jr., London, England; a daughter, Mrs. Jane Ferguson, Bartlesville; two sisters, Mrs. Phyllis Kirkpatrick, Oklahoma City, and Mrs. Doris Elliott, Guthrie; his mother, Mrs. Eullah Cotten, Oklahoma City, and five grandchildren.
