Katherine L. ''Jackie'' House Cook, longtime resident of Ponca City, passed Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at her home in the Osage. She was 90 years of age.
Katherine was born October 24, 1924 in Alva, Oklahoma, the daughter of William V. Montgomery and Anna (Lyons) Montgomery. She was married to Billy Joe House on February 19, 1944 in Abilene, Texas. Mr. House passed in 1991. She married Clarence Cook on December 22, 1993. Mr. Cook passed in 2010.
She had been employed in earlier years at Gibson's, Howards, Tanco Wreath, LeeLab and was a housekeeper at the Ponca City Hospital. She was longtime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church where she helped with funeral dinners through the years. Her enjoyments were her grandkids, family gatherings, flowers and watching birds.
She is survived by her two children, Kathy Bright and husband Bob, of Hominy, Oklahoma and Bill House and fiancée Dawn Taylor, of Ponca City; one sister, Bonnie Gray of Ponca City; brother-in-law Dee Leven; seven grandchildren, Jeff Thomas, Rick Thomas, Deanna Gilliland, Jackie House, Billy Raymond House, Stephanie Marie House and Randy Joe House; 16 great grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren; other nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; three brothers, Bud Montgomery, Bill Montgomery and John Montgomery; three sisters, Maxine Irons, Ilene Burgell and Eleanor Leven.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 20, 2015 at Grace Memorial Chapel with St. Mary's Catholic Church Deacon, Dick Robinson presiding. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Casket bearers are Billy Raymond House, Cody Delaney, Rick Thomas, Brandon Thomas, Mike Gilliland and Tony Montgomery. Honorary casket bearers are Jeff Thomas and Randy Joe House.
