Betty Lou Bible, Ponca City resident, passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at Westminster Nursing Home. She was 82.
Betty was born in Cement, Oklahoma on April 4, 1928 the daughter of Coy Gibson Richardson and Lona Maude Seal Richardson. She grew up in Ponca City and graduated from Ponca City Senior High School in 1946. Betty married I.O. Bible shortly after high school and they were blessed with three children, Rani, Marcia and Becky. The couple moved to Westlake, Louisiana and in 1965 Betty moved back to Ponca City to raise her family.
Betty was a lifelong member of First Assembly of God Church where she taught Sunday school. She retired from Conoco. Betty loved God, family, church and singing and she never lost faith in God.
She is survived by her children, Rani Ball and husband, Randy of Westlake, Louisiana, Marcia Grogan of Enid, Oklahoma and Becky Campbell and husband, Lloyd of Ponca City, Oklahoma sister, Faye Richardson of Ponca City, Oklahoma 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents one sister and one grandson.
Casket bearers for the service will be Cody Campbell, Michael Scannell, Josh Reddick, Lance Scannell, Jimmy Hinman and Cory Hinman.
Honorary casket bearers will be Daaron Ball, Daamon Ball and Joey Campbell.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 13, 2010 at the First Assembly of God Church with The Rev. Micah Wells officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Cemetery under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, 1904 North Union, Suite 103, Ponca City, Oklahoma 74601.
