James E. Anderson Jr. longtime Ponca city resident went to his eternal home Sunday morning, June 23, 2019 in Ponca City, OK. He was 75 years of age. James was born January 14, 1944 in Blackwell, OK to James E. Anderson Sr. and Noma Jean Gile Anderson.
Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, June 27, 2019 in the Grace Memorial Chapel with inurnment to follow in Resthaven Memorial park cemetery. Cremation arrangements are in care of Grace Memorial Chapel of Ponca City.
James grew up in Blackwell and he graduated from Blackwell high in 1962. James served a tour of duty in the U.S. Army and upon discharge he enlisted into the Army national guard of Oklahoma serving for over 25 years. James worked for Southwest Cupid in Blackwell for numerous years working in the Shipping department. James was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Unite Local #371 southwest Regional Joint Board. James loved hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycles.
James leaves behind 4 children he dearly loved; Jimmy Anderson III and wife Ruby of Ponca City; Ronnie Anderson and wife Alisha of Ada, OK Sonqua and Leanne Le Croix of Seguine, TX Stacey Burton and husband Darrell of Tulsa, OK Grandchildren; Kaleb Colberg, Abby Anderson, both of Ponca City, OK. Rez, Laney, Jerod and Carly Anderson of Ada, Ok. Justin Glowacki of Tulsa, Ok. Niece Tonya Linton and husband John of Phoenix, AZ and many other nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Wife Shirley in 2011 and 1 son; Tony Randall Hill.
