Resthaven Cemetery


Jody Lynn Allensworth, Ponca City resident, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City from complications with pneumonia. She was 37. A service will be held at 2pm on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009 at First Christian Church with the Rev. Larry B. Metzger, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park , under the direction of the Trout Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will greet friends Wednesday from 6 to 7:30p.m. at Trout Funeral Home and Crematory.

Jody Lynn Allensworth, the daughter of Jerry and Paulette Allensworth, was born on Oct. 16, 1972 along with her twin sister Judy. She grew up in Ponca City and graduated from Ponca City High School in 1991. She was currently employed as a security guard at Albertsons Distibution Center. Jody loved playing bingo and collecting unicorns. She also enjoyed drawing in her spare time. She had the biggest heart and never went a day without telling her family she loved them. She will be remembered for her affectionate hugs and kisses and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her two sons which she adored, Chad Allensworth age 12 and Coby Allensworth age 5, of the home; her parents, Jerry and Paulette Allensworth of Ponca City; two sisters, Sherri Allensworth of Ponca City and Judy Estlack and husband Kenneth of Texas; one brother, Rick Allensworth and wife Allison of Ponca City; three nieces, Amber Howard and husband Jason of Tonkawa, Shelby Estlack of Texas, and Emily Allensworth of Ponca City; two nephews, Jacob Lewis, and Chase Allensworth both of Ponca City; one great niece, Lacey Howard, and one great nephew, Ethan Howard both of Tonkawa. She is also survived by her best friend, Angie Fox of Yukon along with her many more friends in Ponca City.

Jody was preceded in death by her grandmother Mildred Jordan, uncle, Raymond Raulston, and aunt, Sue Fowler all of Ponca City.

Memorial contributions may be made for Chad and Coby Allensworth in memory of Jody at Bank of the West in Ponca City.

Casketbearers will be Rick Allensworth, Chad Allensworth, Jacob Lewis, James Allensworth, Brad Allensworth and Don Raulston.
