Roger Allen Wilson, 86, of Ponca City, OK, left this life on Monday, November 11, 2024, in Wichita, KS. Viewing will be from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM, Wednesday, November 20, 2024, with a Funeral Ceremony beginning at 2:00 PM at Trout Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will immediately follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK, 74601.
Roger was born on Wednesday, April 13, 1938, in Enid, OK, to Vernon E. and Georgia E. (Miner) Wilson. He grew up in and graduated from high school in Okeene, OK. He retired from Boeing after 40 years, then became a partner at Sprague Lawn and Tree Service.
Roger is survived by his partner Matthew Sprague, brothers and sisters: Garry and Susan Wilson, Susan and Darryl Hoover, and brother-in-law Leland Fisher, his children: Anita Cox, Jay Wilson, John Wilson, Roger and Rachelle Wilson Jr., and daughter-in-law Sandy Wilson, his nephews, nieces, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren: Todd and Loy Wilson – Morgan, Jacob, Payton, and Addison, Lindsay (Wilson) and Neal Watson- Sam, Gabe, and Luke, Ricky, Tim, and Mickey Fisher, Shay Parsons, Stacey Cody, Justin Hoover, Dusty Hoover, David and Ren Wilson- Destiny, Kathryn (Wilson) and Jamie Mata- Lily and Rory, Cody and Casey Cox- Caley, Makkenah, Haiden, and Ricky, Sean and April Cox- Emelia, Olivia, and Maverick, Natalee and Mark Godfrey- Holden and Katie, and Braden, Alissa Thompson- Jacyen and Zaria, Shawn and Brittney Wilson- Jaden, J'Anna, and Josiah, Sarahi and Greg Healy, and John Wilson Jr, Kenyon and many other loving family members.
Roger was preceded in death by: his parents, sister- Carol Fisher, son- Jerry Wilson, son-in-law Rick Cox, and daughter-in-law Rosalba Wilson
