December 24, 1928 - May 8, 2026

A. Lorene (Adams) Stalcup, age 97, of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away May 8, 2026, at Integris Heath in Ponca City, Oklahoma. A Celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 am, Friday May 15, 2026, at First Lutheran Church with Joseph Highly officiating. Lorene will be laid to rest in Resthaven Park following the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK, 74601.

Lorene was born in Blackwell, Oklahoma, on December 24, 1928, to Frank and Lola (Ethel Jordan) Adams. She grew up in Ponca City and attended Ponca City High School. One evening while at the movies with friends a guy walked over and introduced himself as Jack Stalcup. They later married in January of 1946, and in December of the same year had their daughter, Carolyne Sue. Lorene loved to go to the Senior Center each day, riding with Lucy Page, and sitting at "their table".

She and Lucy became very close and she considered her a Special Friend.

Survivors include: her daughter, Carolyne and her husband, Ron Colberg; bonus-daughter, Diane Beekman; grandsons, Chad (Sandi) Colberg and Jeremy Colberg; great-grandchildren, Autumn (Dustin) Kincaid, Baylee (Brandon) Cook, Kaleb (Sheilia) Colberg, Kaiden Colberg, Dayton (Errin) Colberg, Cory Winkelman, and Sara Lee; great-great grandchildren, Bryer & Knox Kincaid, Madeline & Hayden Cook, Kaison Colberg, Gracelynn & Reaghan Lee. She also had two nephews and three nieces. She was proceeded in death by: her husband, Jack Stalcup, her parents, her in-laws, John and Viola Carson, her sister, Betty Jean and her husband, Luis.

Casketbearers are Chad Colberg, Jeremy Colberg, Kaleb Colberg, Dayton Colberg, Kaiden Colberg, Travis Roberts. Honorary Casket Bearer will be the Group at the Senior Center.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to First Lutheran Church of Ponca City, 1101 N 4th St, Ponca City, OK 74601.
