December 8, 1935 - March 18, 2022

Fred Seigle Randel, 86, of Ponca City, OK, passed away on March 18, 2022 in Tulsa, OK.

He was born on December 8, 1935 to Tracy and Maxine (Wosika) Randel in Ponca City, OK. Fred graduated from Ponca City High School and later earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Oklahoma State University. Fred described his two best decisions in life as accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and marrying his loving wife, Marilyn. The high school sweethearts married on June 24, 1956 and recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with family. The pair raised their two children Jeff and Julie primarily in Blackwell and Ponca City, but also lived briefly in Houston, Texas. Upon graduation from OSU, Fred taught mathematics at Blackwell High School where he also served as an assistant wrestling coach. He then began a career as a computer programmer for Conoco that spanned nearly 30 years. Following his retirement, he worked as a substitute teacher for the Ponca City School District.

Fred's hobbies included fishing, golf, and carpentry, a skill he learned from his father, Tracy. He and Marilyn attended First Baptist Church Ponca City for nearly 50 years and served others faithfully in various positions. One of Fred's greatest joys was his family and the time he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Fred invested in the lives of others and will leave a legacy of faith and diligence for generations to come.

Fred is survived by his loving wife Marilyn and daughter Julie (John Quinton) Wood, son Jeff (Julie) Randel; grandchildren Leslie (Brett) Gladden, Cameron (Elizabeth) Wood, Evan (Lindsey) Wood, Stuart (Callie) Randel, Tyler (Erin) Randel; great grandchildren Hollis Randel, Andie, Mason, Kye and CJ Wood, Bailey and Owen Wood, Grace Klopfer, Zachary, Trevor and Alexa Gladden as well as his Sisters Nancy Blevins and Jeanine Keller.
