Katye Ann Pappan
September 24, 1951 - June 14, 2023

Katye Ann Pappan, a sister, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on June 14th, 2023 at the age of 71. Katye was born in Ponca City, OK on September 24th, 1951 to John and Faye Turner. She spent her childhood in the same city and went on to graduate from high school in 1969.

Katye lived a fulfilling life as a home maker in her own home. Katye pursued a career as an X-ray technician and a dental assistant. She had a passion for spending time with her grandchildren and always made each moment memorable. She had an incomparable love for animals and took tremendous care of her cats and dogs throughout her lifetime. Katye was an incredibly talented artist who found joy in painting, drawing, and coloring. In addition to this artistic side of hers, she was also known to be a great cook. She passed her time solving puzzles of all kinds- jigsaw, word and Sudoku puzzles.

She had a great sense of humor and often shared a chuckle that was infectious to all those around her.

Katye will forever be remembered by all who knew her. She is survived by her daughter Trayci Thompson; brother Wesley Turner and wife Eileen Turner; step-sons Deric and Keenan Pappan; grandchildren Brennen Bradley, Kinley, Kolsen, and Tyler Pappan; nieces Mary Turner Campbell and Betty Turner Hebeler.

Katye will be reunited with her cherished husband Doug, parents, and grandson Bladen Thompson.

Visitation for Katye will be held on June 18th at Grace Memorial Chapel in Ponca City from 10 AM - 6 PM followed by a graveside service on June 19th at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery at 10 AM with Pastor Dennis Wildman officiating.

The memory of Katye's love for life will live on forever in the hearts of those blessed enough to share it with her. May she rest peacefully knowing that she was deeply loved by all those whose lives she touched. Donations in Katye's name may be made to the Northern Oklahoma Humane Society, 900 W. Prospect, Ponca City, OK 74601.
