March 15, 1940 - January 2, 2008
Leo Ogden, resident of Ponca City, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2008, at 4500 West Hartford. He was 67.
The service will be held at 2 PM, Monday, January 7, 2008 at the Asbury United Methodist Church with Pastor Lyle Shipley officiating. Burial will then follow at the Resthaven Memorial Park in Ponca City, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.
Leo was born March 15, 1940 to the late Hiram Ogden and the late Ellen Heck Ogden in Ponca City. He was raised in Ponca City. He was married to Julaine Beguin Ogden on January 15, 1977. He enjoyed farming and ranching, and working at the church. He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church, where he served a chairman of the finance committee. He was a member of the Moose Lodge of Ponca City. He is survived by his wife Julaine of the home, four step children Robert Evans, Judy Weston, Phylis Long and Morris Evans, three brothers John Ogden, Glen Ogden and Wendell Ogden and his wife Donna, brothers and sisters in law Jerrold Beguin and his wife Janie, Jim Beguin and his wife Margie, John Beguin and his wife Judy, Jack Beguin and his wife Kathy, Joanne Yarbough and her husband Kenneth and Janita Prophet, 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, one brother Merle Ogden, and one sister-in-law, Lou Ann Ogden.
Casketbearers will be Jim Beguin, Jerry Beguin, Jack Beguin, John Beguin,David Beguin, Jerry Lee Beguin, Jim Duvall and Don Wilkerson. Honorary bearers will be The Asbury UMC Men’s prayer group, Bob Schuster, Kenny Rosewitz, Tim Harder, Tim Burden, Don Blackwell, and Steve Shea.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Asbury United Methodist Church, 700 West Liberty, Ponca City, Oklahoma 74601.
