Lawrence Meek
October 25, 1936 - July 26, 2023
Lawrence (Wray) Meek, 86, beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather, was called to his eternal resting place on July 26, 2023. He entered this world on October 25, 1936, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, born to Jay Doolin and Gladys Drisel Meek.
Graveside services will be held 10 A.m. Monday, July 31, 2023, at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery, with Pastor John Waterloo officiating.
Wray met the love of his life Pat Hazen, and they were married July 24, 1953, in Fayetteville, North Carolina while Wray was serving a tour of duty with the United States Army. After his honorable discharge he moved his family to Ponca City, OK in October of 1956. Wray worked for Nickles Machine for 40 years as a Machinist. Wray also enjoyed watching Football and westerns, Noodling, and fishing.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife Pat Meek of the home, One son, Larry Meek and Fiance Mary Needham of Jacksonville, FL, grandchildren, Tyler Meek and wife Nina, Sammy Meek, and wife Desiray all of Jacksonville, FL one brother: Jim Meek and wife Sue of Ponca city, OK and several nieces and nephews.
Wray was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, J.D Meek.
