Esteleene "Esty" Louise Maxwell, 91, long-time Ponca City, OK, resident left this life on December 7, 2023, in Stillwater, OK. Viewing with the family present will take place between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM, Sunday, December 17, 2023. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will take place at 11:00 AM, Monday, December 18, 2023, at Albright United Methodist Church. Those unable to attend the Funeral Ceremony, may attend virtually on the Trout Funeral Home website, www.troutfuneralhome.com and click on the live-stream or toolbar icon on the top right corner after 10:45 AM. A private burial will take place at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave., Ponca City, OK, 74601.

Esty was born on June 9, 1932, in Hutchinson, KS, to Archie E. and Ruth E. (Gilleland) Price. She married Carl Maxwell on June 7, 1949, in Hutchinson, KS. She and Carl lived in Hutchinson, Lyons, Ellsworth and Kanopolis, KS, before moving to Ponca City in 1952. In 1966, she started working at Ponca City Public Schools Cafeterias, retiring after 21 years. Esty enjoyed spending time with family, friends and church friends. She was a Raindrop, a member of Asbury Methodist Church and Church Women United. She was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star and the VFW Auxiliary. She also loved to play bridge online and dominoes.

Esty is survived by: son, Carlton Maxwell and wife, Mirriam; daughter, Kathryn Albright and husband, Jim; brothers, Ronnie Price and wife, Carol, Larry Price and wife, Ann, and Archie Price; 13 grandkids; 29 great-grandkids; and 1 great-great-grandchild, Avery Carter Layman. She is preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Carl; daughter, Clarissa Ruth Kohut; and brothers, Gary Price (died at birth), Jerry Price, Leon Price, Clifford Price, and Warren Ivins.
