Ruth R. Lyons
November 5, 1926 - August 9, 2024
Ruth Revard Lyons, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 9, 2024 at the age of 97. She was born on November 5, 1926 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma to Reynolds and Rose Revard. Ruth was a resident of Edmond, Oklahoma. She spent her childhood years in Carnegie, Oklahoma, where she was raised by her beloved grandmother, Nellie Wyatt.
Ruth moved to the YWCA at age 16 and graduated from Central High School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She pursued her education at Northern Oklahoma College and the University of Oklahoma.
Ruth was a devoted family woman, and her love for her family was immeasurable. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones and was always there to support and guide them. Her selflessness and unconditional love will forever be remembered by her family.
Ruth’s faith played a central role in her life. She was a woman of prayer who was continually praying for her family. Ruth attended first Baptist Church at Carnegie, Oklahoma, and became a believer at age 12.
She is proceeded in death by her brother, Dale Martinez, and sister Betty Tobiason.
She is survived by her two sons Alan and wife, KaTinka Bolding of Edmond, Oklahoma and Roy and wife, Jan Bolding of Edmond, Oklahoma; Four Grandchildren- Brooke Pugh and husband, Tom of Houston, Texas, Jamie Bolding and husband, Michael of Canon City, Colorado, Chrissy Brown and husband, Brad of Edmond, Oklahoma and Corey Bolding and wife, Amanda of Edmond, Oklahoma; and seven great Grandchildren.
Services for Ruth will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 1 PM at the Chapel of Trout Funeral Home, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, Oklahoma 74601. Burial will follow at Resthaven.
