Michael Luis, 69, of Ponca City, Ok, left this life on April 29, 2022. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 5, 2022, at Trout Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave., Ponca City, OK 74601.
Mike was born on July 11, 1952, in Ponca City, OK, to Joseph Aloysius and Marie Martina (Miller) Luis. He worked as a carpenter and rural route carrier for the USPS. Mike loved watching OU Sports. "Boomer, Sooner". Mike had a love and passion for woodworking. He built numerous homes in Kay County. Anytime he was in the garage, tinkering, he was listening to WBBZ or Cardinal's baseball. He loved his family deeply, especially his two granddaughters.
Mike is survived by his wife, Karen, of Ponca City; son, Casey Luis and his wife, Brandy; two granddaughters, Janicia (JJ) and Jaelyn, all of Oklahoma City, OK; sisters, Joan Otto and her husband, Neal, Denise Kieholz and her husband, Steve, Carol Skalenda, Sharon Luis, Pam Luis; sisters and brothers-in-law and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marie Luis and Joe Luis; two brothers, Bob Luis and Dave Luis; sister, Patty Luis; grandparents and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
