Loucill Knight
July 12, 1927 - August 23, 2023

Loucill Knight passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023, in Ponca City, Oklahoma at the age of 96. Her life began on July 12, 1927, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma with her loving parents George and Agnes (Bay) Auterson. Loucill grew up with her sister, Sylvia Lee. When she was 26 years old Loucill married the love of her life, Johnny Knight, on May 22, 1953, in Ponca City, Oklahoma. She raised her son, William (Bill) Hickman, in a very loving home.

Loucill worked in the restaurant industry as a cook and top-notch baker, but her passion was the Loyal Order of Moose. She was an involved member for 60 years, having joined the Ponca City chapter in 1963. During her tenure with the Moose, she had many accomplishments. She received the Academy of Friendship, College of Regents, and Star Recorder degrees. She was past Deputy Grand Regent of Women of the Moose in the state of Oklahoma and held the honor of being named Queen of Sponsors for sponsoring more WOM candidates than any other member in the state. As of March 1982, Loucill had sponsored 75 members in the Ponca City chapter.

When Loucill had any spare time she enjoyed crocheting, crafting new creations, honing her baking skills to the delight of friends and family, along with tending her vegetable garden and canning for the off season with her husband.

She is survived by her, granddaughters; Donna Marie and Kristin, grandsons; John P and Eric St John Hickman, Nieces and Nephews; Frank A Hall, Barbara Ellen Pfrimmer, Richard Hall, Nina M Dehorty, and Sylvia Beth Crane, her dearest friend; Jammie Fulsum, the fellow Women of the Moose, and her dog Tiger.

Loucill was preceded in death by her husband; Johnny Knight, Son; William L (Bill) Hickman, Sister; Sylvia Lee, Parents; George and Agnes Auterson, as well as her two beloved dogs; Rebel and Hot Rod.

There will be a time of visitation for Loucill's friends and family to pay final respects at Grace Memorial Chapel, 2016 N 14th St, Ponca City, OK on Saturday, August 26th from 4pm to 7pm. She will be laid to rest at Resthaven Cemetery in Ponca City Monday, August 28th, with a graveside service beginning at 10am. The graveside service will be presided by David Dehorty. Pallbearers will be Ryan Hall, Ketcher Hall, Chad Crane, David Dehorty, Rick Crane, and Colton Crane.
