Kelly Sue (Daugherty) KIRBY

Resthaven Cemetery

Kelly Sue Kirby
March 30, 1964 - April 29, 2022

Kelly Sue (Daugherty) Kirby, 58, passed away and went to be with our Lord on April 29, 2022. Kelly was born March 30, 1964, in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia to Raymond and Betty (Lamm) Daugherty. Her family moved back to the states in the first few years of her life where she was then raised in Ponca City OK. She attended school at Ponca City High School, then moved to Northern Oklahoma College where she graduated with her associate degree.

Kelly lived her life in Ponca City where she gave birth to her daughter, Sheridan Renae in 1989, and married the love of her life, David Kirby, in 2010. He brought her all the joy in the world up to her very last day on Earth.

Kelly worked as the office specialist at the landfill of Ponca City. She was able to show her goofy and bubbly personality to all the customers that came through and to her work family. When she wasn't at work, she was trying to spend as much time as she could in the sun. Whether it was working in the yard, lying out, or being in the pool; if the sun was out, she was too. However, what she loved more than the sun was her three grandbabies Aceson, Adilynn, and Drake Greer. Kelly's perfect day would've been a sunny day in the pool with her husband, daughter, son in law, and grandchildren. They were the lights of her life, and the feeling was mutual. Like the quote says... "if loved could've saved you, you would have lived forever." She is proceeded in death by her mother and father.

She is survived by her husband, David Kirby of Ponca City; her daughter, Sheridan Greer and husband, Jeff of Ponca City; her grandchildren, Aceson, Adilynn, and Drake Greer; her brother, Michael Daugherty and wife, Ruth of Ponca City, OK; her sister Monica Moxley and husband, Larry of Marland, OK; her nephews Adam Daugherty, Chris Daugherty, Rydal Daugherty, and niece Shannon Tollison.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Trout Funeral Home in Ponca City. Her funeral service will be Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the Trout Funeral Home Chapel in Ponca City, OK. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Ponca City.

Arrangements under the direction of Trout Funeral Home 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601.
