Linda HEITZ

Resthaven Cemetery

Linda Heitz
September 23, 1940 - December 9, 2024

Jesus wrapped His warm, fuzzy blanket around our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Linda Sue Heitz, on December 9, 2024. To her delight, she will never be cold again. A funeral ceremony will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 14, 2024, a the First United Methodist Church, with Rev. Leon Veazey officiating. Those unable to attend the Funeral Ceremony, may attend virtually on the Trout Funeral Home website, www.troutfuneralhome.com and click on the live-stream or toolbar icon on the top right corner after 1:45 PM. Burial will immediately follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK, 74601.

Linda was born on September 23, 1940, to Kramer and Wilma June (Ragland) Mace. Linda was married to Bill Hand, then later married Richard Heitz. She worked at ConocoPhillips for 32 years, where she made lifelong friendships.

Linda was a member of Stevens Ministry. She was also a Master Gardener, and loved to travel; always being up for an adventure. An interesting fact, Linda never finished a full school year at the same school. Her dad was an oil surveyor and one summer while she was at church camp for a week, her parents moved and had to have the church deliver her to a different location.

Linda is survived by: her daughter, Teresa Smith and her husband, Carl, of Hunter, OK; granddaughter, Andrea Mooney and her husband, Randy, of Ponca City, OK; great-granddaughter, Lynna Storm; other family members, T.C. Smith and his wife, Crystal, Ricky Smith, Addison Smith, Stratton Smith and Sawyer Smith. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Richard Heitz; son, Jimmy Hand, and her parents.

A special thanks to her lunch bunch and good friends, Diane & Carolin. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 200 S 6th St, Ponca City, OK 74601.
