January 4, 1945 - November 21, 2023

Johnny Castleman, 78, beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great grandfather, and brother, was called to his eternal resting place on November 21, 2023. He entered this world on January 4, 1945, in Waco, Texas, born to James F. and Hattie M. Tucker Castleman.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 1, 2023, in Grace Memorial Chapel with Chaplin Gary Wilburn of Humanity Hospice officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 30, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Grace Memorial Chapel.

Johnny grew up in Waco, TX and attended school in Stinnett, Texas, receiving his GED in 1967. Johnny met the love of his life, Linda Marie Hurst and they were married April 23, 1966, in Borger, Texas making their first home in Fort Sill, Oklahoma, Johnny joined the United States Army on June 24, 1963, and he served his country until his retirement on July 1, 1983. During his spare time, he enjoyed Bowling and fishing.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife Linda Castleman of the home. Two sons; Johnny R. Castleman Jr of Ponca City, OK and Rick Castleman and wife Angela of Leitchfield, KY, one daughter; Shelli French and husband Greg of Kaw City, OK, grandchildren: Justin Jenkins and wife Cassandra, Skylar Golay and wife Stoney, Austin French and wife Bailey, Ricky Castleman Jr, Riley Castleman, Devin Buley, and numerous great grandchildren, one brother; Bill Castleman of Canada, two sisters; Mary Sargent of Newton, KS and Lynn Castleman of Amarillo, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Alice Prestin.
