November 11, 1940 - August 5, 2023

Delphine Mae (Morris) Bennett 82, of Ponca City, OK, passed away peacefully at her home on August 3, 2023. Viewing will be from 12:00- PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, August 7, 2023, at Trout Funeral Home with the family present to greet friends between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm. A Graveside Ceremony will take place at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601.

Delphine was born on November 11, 1940 in Perryton, TX, to Irvin & Learah (Bridges) Morris. As a small child she and her family moved to Blackwell, OK. She attended Blackwell Public Schools. Delphine married Cyrus Leroy Bennett on April 10, 1959 in Wellington, KS. Cyrus was an active Air Force serviceman and she followed him to Colorado California and transferred to Japan, then Alabama, then to Okanawa then to California again, then back to Oklahoma where Leroy retired from the military. They resided in Ponca City to present.

Sewing was a passion of hers. She made all of her children's clothing.

Delphine is survived by: her husband, Cyrus Leroy; sons, Ronald (Kristi) Bennett of Wichita, KS, Gary (Patty) Bennett, of Texas; daughter, Laura Hopkins of Ponca City, OK; 8 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Delphine is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one son, and one son in law.
