Jerry L. Wood, 81, of Ponca City, Oklahoma, died on Friday, September 2, 2022.
Jerry was born November 22, 1941, in Tonkawa, Oklahoma to Floyd E. Wood, Sr. and Hettie M. (Gregory) Wood. After school he helped set up and manage several Safeway Grocery stores for many years. He had many interests and hobbies, but his favorite things to do were spend time with family and friends, go fishing, and play pool.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter Diana Wood, grandson Shawn Wood, siblings Gene Wood, Charles Wood, Paul Wood, Warren Wood, and Phyllis Randels.
He is survived by his sons Chris Wood and Craig Wood, both of Ponca City, two daughters Dana Redinus and husband Ronald, and Cynthia Wood, both of Winfield, KS, his brother Floyd Wood, Jr., and wife Sharon, of Ponca City, sister Lila Sattre of Bartlesville, OK, three grandkids, seven great-grandkids, and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 9, 2022, at the Prairie View Cemetery, south of Tonkawa, Oklahoma.
