1956 - 2009
Earla Sue Alley, 52, of Blackwell, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2009. She was born Auguest 10, 1956 in Blackwell, Oklahoma to Earl and LaVerne (Guyer) Byler.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Prairie Chapel United Methodist with Pastor Tara Foos officiating, interment will follow in the Prairie Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Blackwell Funeral Home, Blackwell, Oklahoma.
Earla grew up in the rural area of Blackwell, Oklahoma. She attended Prairie Chapel School for six years and then attended and graduated from the Blackwell High School in 1974.
She married Rickey Alley on February 14, 1975 and was married for thirty three years.
When she was not working on the farm raising cattle, dogs and goats, she was busy with lots of organizations, including Kay County Mounties 4H Club, Women of Moose, Kay County Free Fair Board and Kay County Free Fair Goat Supt. She was a leader for the Kay County 4H for over 20 years. She was a member of the Prairie Chapel Church.
She enjoyed animals and agriculture but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband of the home; three sons, Daniel Alley and his wife Julie of Sulpur, Oklahoma; Shawn Alley of Stilwell, Oklahoma, and Jesse Alley of the home; her mother of Blackwell, Oklahoma; and her aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Stephen Alley; father; one brother, Vernie Loel Byler; and her grandparents, Vern and Alameda Guyer.
