Eva Lea (Downing) Triece formerly of Miami, OK passed away Wednesday November 16, 2016 in Joplin, Missouri she was 57 years of age. Funeral services will follow the traditional noon feast and giveaway at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Ponca Indian Baptist Church with interment to follow in the Ponca Indian Cemetery.

Eva was born on December 18, 1958 in Miami, OK to Thomas C. and Eleanor White Star Downing. Eva attended school in Miami, OK and she was a past member of the First Baptist Church in Miami, OK. She married Floyd (Strawberry) Triece on April 18, 1998 in Welch, OK and they made their home in Welch, OK. Eva enjoyed Bowling, Fishing, making Indian jewelry and attending POW WOW's.

Survivors include: husband; Floyd (Strawberry) Triece of the Home; 2 sons; Cody Triece of Ponca City, OK and Sky Triece of the Home. 2 sisters: Jolene Sue Downing of Chelsea, OK and Lois Georgean Hoffstatter of Noble, OK 1 Niece; Julianna Downing of Miami, OK and 3 nephews; Tristen Lane of West Virginia and Andrew Hoffstatter and Bryce Hoffstatter both of Noble, OK

Eva was preceded in death by her parents and 1 sister; Vesta Downing.
