August 27, 1929 - February 25, 2018

Blanche M. Howe Ribbs longtime Ponca City resident went to be with her heavenly father on Sunday night with her loving family by her side. She was 88 years of age. Blanche was born August 27,1929 in the family home in Ponca City to Oliver J. Howe Sr and Mattie Headman Howe. Funeral Services will follow the traditional noon feast and give away at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2018 in the Ponca Indian Baptist Church with Rev Brandon Kemble officiating. Interment will follow in the Ponca Indian tribal cemetery. Casket bearers will be Earl Howe III, Samuel LeClair, Ray Hinman, Richard Hudson Jr., Douglas Hudson and Joe Thicknail, honorary casket bearers will be grandsons and nephews.

Blanche attended the Chillocco Indian school and graduated in 1950 and she also attended the Haskell Junior College in Kansas. She married the love of her life Bemis Ribbs in 1976 and they made their home in Kay county. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and other family members, playing bingo whenever she had time and caring for her Fur Baby Bam Bam.

Blanche is survived by her son; Wiley Whitehorn of the Home. 2 daughters: Linda and husband Rick Hudson and Ulyssa Whitehorn and Roswell Primeaux all of Ponca City, OK. She is also survived by a brother; Rev. Lewis Headman of Ponca City, 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Blanche was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Bemis, 4 brothers; Wiley Howe, Earl Howe Sr, Oliver Howe Jr. and Eugene Howe, 1 sister Amelia Howe and her faithful fur baby; Bam Bam.
