Lemuel ''Pinky'' Rhodd Jr longtime Kay County resident passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017 in Oklahoma City. He was 72 years of age. Lemuel was born on November 22, 1945 in Pawnee, OK to Lemuel Rhodd Sr. and Iva Janette Little Standing Buffalo Rhodd. Funeral services will follow the Noon feast and giveaway at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 31, 2017 in the Ponca Indian United Methodist Church with Pastor Jimmy White officiating. Interment will follow in the Ponca Indian Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel of Ponca City.

Lemuel grew up in Kay county and he attended Chillocco Indian School and he serviced a tour of Duty with U.S. Navy. Lemuel married the love of his life Charlotte Blindman and they made their home in Kay County. She preceded him in death in March of 2009. Pinky enjoyed playing Bingo, going to the Casino and spending time with his grandkids.

Survivors include: 2 sons: Edward and wife Skyra Haze Rhodd and Lemuel Rhodd III both of Ponca City, OK. 3 daughters: Cecelia Flores, Sharon Rhodd and Lucinda and husband Braulio Garcia all of Ponca City, OK. 3 brothers: Doug Rhodd, Henry Rhodd and Gene Zaitchek all of Ponca City, OK 3 sisters: Mary Akers of Delaware, OK and Sharon Dawson and Cecelia Howard both of Ponca City, OK. Grandchildren: Jordan Rhodd, Mariah Rhodd, Tyrus Washington, Dylan Washington, Edward Rhodd II, Kinniss Rhodd and numerous other grandchildren and nieces and nephews and cousins.

Lemuel was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 3 brothers and 1 grandson; Avrelio Rhodd.
