Alana Rose Primeaux, former resident of Ponca City, passed Tuesday, September 8, 2015 in Oklahoma City. She was 52 years of age.
Alana was born August 25, 1963 in Pawnee, Oklahoma, the daughter of Lancelot Primeaux Jr. and Clara R. Primeaux. She was the granddaughter of the late Lancelot Primeaux Sr. and granddaughter of the late Estella Yellow Horse. She attended Oklahoma City Capitol Hill High School and was a member of the Oklahoma City Capitol Hill Baptist Church. Her enjoyments were time spent with her grandchildren and cooking for her family.
She is survived by her parents, Lancelot Primeaux Jr. of Shawnee, Oklahoma and her mother Clara R. Primeaux of Oklahoma City; four children, Krishna Primeaux, Bud Primeaux, Corey Primeaux and Barbara Primeaux, all of Oklahoma City; her siblings, Naomi Franklin, Reginald Primeaux, Portia Lawson, Lynda Strable, Kiaiya Primeaux, Wi-Hai Primeaux and Patti DeNoya; five grandchildren, Joshua Primeaux, Ezekiel Zombrano, Antonio Zombrano, Efren Zombrano and Maleah Zombrano; other extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; one brother, Lancelot Primeaux III and one sister, Mattie Plett.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2015 at the Ponca Tribal Cultural Center with Bro. Doug Eagle presiding. Burial was in the Ponca Tribal Cemetery under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
Casket bearers were Matt Primeaux, Corey Primeaux, Hawk Primeaux, Brett Fidler, A-Trail Burlingame and Isiah Burlingame. Honorary casket bearers were Joshua Primeaux, Ezekiel Zombrano, Antonio Zombrano, Efren Zombrano, Maleah Zombrano and Elwood Sonny Calls Him Sr.
