October 26, 1982 ~ September 30, 2021Heaven gained an angel on September 30, 2021. Lalita Naomi Lieb was born on October 26, 1982. Lalita was an enrolled member of the Otoe-Missouria Tribe and a descendant of the Ponca Tribe of Oklahoma. She was the light in a dark room. She always carried a beautiful smile and words that could make your heart brighten when it was sad. She was loved by all who came in contact with her warm and bubbly personality, she was always kind and gentle. She was very much love in human form! Loved her family, especially all of her nieces and nephews. Lalita was lead by her strong Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. In her faith, she gained strength to battle the health issues placed before her. She fought with all her heart but was ready to again her angel wings and be reunited with her brother and father.
Lalita was 38 years of age and leaves behind her mother; Victoria Koshiway, grandmother; Martha Koshiway, two sisters; Shalene, Shawndra, two brothers; Shawn Jr, and Gary, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends who were brothers and sisters to Lalita. She is proceeded in death by her father; Gregory Conrad Lieb, known as “Cougar”, her brother Leonard Koshiway, her uncle; Jeffrey Lieb, her grandparents; Beulah & Henry Lieb, her cousin; Justin Ingram, great-grandparents; Joe and Genevieve Bassett, and grandfather; Goodwin “G.K.” Bassett.
Prayer services will be held starting Saturday at 7:30 P.M. a dinner will be served at 5:30 P.M., October 2, at the Otoe-Missouria Cultural Center near Red Rock. On Sunday, October 3, breakfast will at the Cultural Center with a traditional funeral service at 12pm. Burial will be in the Ponca Tribal Cemetery at 2:00 P.M. to be laid to rest with her brother and father.
Casket Bearers will be; Shawn Franklin, Gary Franklin, Theumba Lieb, Sky Lieb, Henry Ruff, JD Ruff.
Honorary Bearers; Aria Lieb, Joe Ruff, Taydin Franklin, Thailan Wano, Kingstan Lowe, Derek Lieb, Thunder Lieb and Grey Cloud Lieb, Kalijah Morales, Acamas Goodrich.
