Roscoe Conklin, 58 of Mancos, Colorado, passed from this life on Sunday, April 29, 2018. Roscoe was born May 9, 1959 to Abraham Albert Conklin and Ida Mae (Gives Water) Conklin in Ponca City, Oklahoma. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Roscoe was a renowned singer, active in tribal cultural events, and was fancy dancer as a child. He attended Western Heights School in Oklahoma City. Roscoe loved all sports and was an avid OU fan. Roscoe worked in many restaurants. Along the way he picked up tips and techniques from many great chefs, becoming like an amateur chef himself. He enjoyed cooking for his family and they all enjoyed eating what he made.

He is survived by his wife, Kristi Conklin of the home, son Roscoe Conklin, Jr. and wife Kathleen of Tennessee, daughter Jennifer Dearman of OKC, daughter Sylverstar Conklin of OKC, Sister Nellie Nadine Ellis of Norman, Brother Abraham Conklin Jr., of OKC, as well as seven grandchildren, Abraham Joshua James Conklin, Lazarus Jaycob Don Conklin, William Davette Conklin, Utunah Eunice Conklin, Molly Beatrice Conklin, Deegan Andrew Dearman, Benjamin Sebastian Dearman, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins including numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters Mary Elizabeth Conklin, Tammy Conklin, and Edith Roberts, and one brother Joseph Conklin.

Services will be held at the Ponca Tribal Center in White Eagle. A traditional Noon feast will be followed by the giveaway and funeral service on Thursday, May 3, 2018. He will be laid to rest at Ponca Indian Cemetery.
