Dezmond James Arkeketa, 7 month old son of Bill and Laurie Clinton Arkeketa passed Wednesday, February 22, 2012. Dezmond was born July 29, 2011 in Ponca City.

He is survived by his parents, William Bill Arkeketa and Laurie Clinton Arkeketa one sister, Aaliyah, of the home maternal grandparents, Jon and Genie Burns of Spring, Texas paternal grandparents, Bennett and Camila Arkeketa of Ponca City great grandparents Evelyn and Michael Grimley, Clarine Arkeketa, Nellie Roughface, Bill and Joni Burns, Richard Fesler, Brenda Kay Fesler and Nathan Welch. Dezmond was preceded in death by his grandmother, Shirley Kay Clinton.

Prayer services will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the Ponca Tribal Cultural Center. A noon meal will be served on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at the Ponca Tribal Cultural Center with the funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. Rev. Louis Headman will preside over the service assisted by Rev. Bill Bray. Burial will follow in the Ponca Tribal Cemetery under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
