December 27, 1960 ~ January 1, 2023 (age 62)
Brazia Rose Roy, 62 years old, passed away on January 01, 2023 in Blackwell, OK surrounded by family. She was born on December 27, 1960 in Pawnee, OK to Bernadine (CrazyBear) Roy and Mike Roy. She was 1978 graduate of Chilocco Indian School.
In her early years she played softball, basketball, volleyball. She also loved listening to music.
Brazia was selfless person who spent her time helping others, never expecting anything in return. She had a part in raising several nieces and nephews, everyone knew her as "Mom Braz." She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her sister, kids, and grandchildren. Up until her passing her greatest enjoyment was spending time in the company of her all kids and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Vanessa Roy, parents Mike Roy and Bernadine Roy, granddaughter Miracle Hudson, and nephew Mitchell DeRoin, Sr.
Brazia is survived by her sister Marcie Hudson and husband Wesley, son Lonnie Roy and his companion Kaila, her nephews and nieces she considered her own Mike Hudson and wife Monique, Phillip Hudson and Jordan DeRoin, Leslie Hudson and Bernadine (Dena) DeRoin, numerous nieces and nephews, and grandchildren.
A traditional noon feast will held on Thursday, Januray 5, 2023 followed by services at the Ponca Tribal Cultural Center in White Eagle, OK followed by burial at the Ponca Tribal Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Louis Headman and Rev. Jimmy White officiating
Pallbearers will be Lonnie Roy, Mike Hudson, Phillip Hudson, Jordan DeRoin, Darin Roy, and Dennis Buffalohead, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Spencer Arkeketa, Sr., Bennett Arkeketa, Kenny Kemble Sr., Miles Kemble, Michael Wesley Hudson, and Wesley James Hudson, II.
