Johnny Lee Poore, Sr.
July 23, 1985 ~ March 23, 2023 (37 Years Old)

Johnny Poore Sr., Gthey-Donh-Honh-Gah "Hawk Chief", 37, beloved husband, son, father, and brother was called home on March 23, 2023. He entered this world on July 23, 1985 in Ponca City, Oklahoma, born to Tyrone and Donna Poore. He attended Frontier Public Schools in Red Rock, Oklahoma and in his spare time enjoyed watching basketball and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife India Poore of the home; mother Donna Poore of Marland, Oklahoma; two sons: Jarreth Poore of Mannford, Oklahoma, and Johnny Poore Jr. of Marland, Oklahoma; his daughters: Nyssa and Sioux Poore and Evelyn Rojas, all of Ponca City; two brothers: Dean Russell of Marland, and Levi Martinez of Stillwater; four sisters: Suzette and husband Bobby Rhodd of Marland, Dawn Russell of Ponca City, Amy and husband Larry Love Jr. of Tulsa, and Ashley Rider of Stillwater. As well as many nieces, nephews, and grandkids that he loved very much.

He was preceded in death by his father, Tyrone Poore.

A funeral service for Johnny will be held on Monday, March 27, 2023, 2 p.m., at the Ponca Cultural Center with Pastor Jimmie White officiating. Burial will follow at the Ponca Tribal Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Jarreth Poore, Johnny Poore Jr., Bobby Rhodd Jr., Farren Primeaux, Elliot Williams, Kevin Decorah, and Otter King. Honorary Pallbearers will be: James Poore, William Smith, Tyrone Rhodd, Gabriel Rhodd, Marcus Lebeda, Shawn Russell, Emilio Delodge, Houston Primeaux, Harvey Atkins III, Austin Wood, Jose Baeza, and Michael Yahola Jr.
