Ponca Tribal Cemetery



Brian Darnell Kemble passed away July 13, 2022. He was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma, on January 22, 1961, to Sylvester Kemble and Hazel D. Makes Cry Headman.

He attended grade school in Ponca City and later went to high school at Ft. Sill Indian School and graduated from Chilocco Indian School in May 1980. After graduating he joined the Marines and was enlisted from 1980 to 1983. He worked Several different jobs in Ponca City until his health got to bad. He always worked hard and kept busy. Brian liked to watch movies and sporting events and was an avid OU and Pittsburg Steelers fan. He loved to cook and mess with his computer as well as doing crossword puzzles and listening to music. Stevie Nicks was one of his favorites. Brian was a member of the Ponca Indian Nazarene Church and a Member of the Wa-Sha-Bee Clan of the Ponca Tribe of Oklahoma.

Brian was a quiet man and lived alone in his home. Although he never married or had children, he had numerous nephews and nieces that he loved and loved him. His best friends were his cousins Clint Primeaux, Galvis White Eagle, Carl Pollak and Michael Cornell. He was a good son, taking care of his elderly mother until she passed a year and a half ago. His father Sylvester Kemble passed in 2002.

Left behind to cherish the memories are his three sisters Christina Simpson, Linda Caballero, Rachel Kemble, as well as his numerous nephews and nieces.

Pall Bearers will be Tim Primeaux, Wesley Bear, Johnny Kemble, Dustin Simpson, Steven Simpson, and Jonathan Simpson. The Honorary Pall Bearers include Clinton Primeaux, Galvis White Eagle, Mike Cornell, Carl Pollak, Dallas Kemble, Buddy Simpson, Cory Simpson, and Daryl Scott.
