April 3, 1942 ~ January 31, 2023 (age 80)

Priscilla Cameron, 80, of Ponca City passed away at Pawhuska Hospital on Tuesday, January 31st, 2023. A traditional meal will be at Noon Friday February 3, 2023 at the Ponca Indian Baptist Church with the funeral service to be held at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Ponca Tribal Cemetery.

Priscilla Ann (Williams) Cameron was born on April 3rd, 1942 at her home in Bressie to her mother Martha Williams Grass and raised by her grandmother Katherine Gambler Littlesnake Williams. She graduated high school from Haskell Indian Highschool and Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa, OK and earned an Associate's of Applied Science. As well as Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK earning her Bachelor's of Science in Home Economics. In 1961, she moved to Ethete, Wyoming where she resided for 16 years, returning to Ponca City in 1977. In 2005 she moved back to Riverton, Wyoming to help care for her grandchildren. While there she also raised her great-grandchildren. In 2014, she returned to her home in Bressie.

She met Leonard Harris while attending Haskell, marrying him in 1961. She divorced Leonard and moved back home in 1977. She met Joselin Cortez in 1999 and he remained her companion until death. Priscilla worked for Indian Child Welfare as a social services worker for the Ponca Tribe as her last occupation.

Priscilla is survived by her companion Joselin Cortez, daughter Rhonda Harris and her children Thomas, Teesha, and Pete. Lonnie's children: Elson, Michelle, and Jalen. And her great-grandchildren: Thomas Dean, Cheyleigh, Tommy, Tajia, McKenzie, Taya, Tadeus, Zemyra, Antoine, Xavier, Shellynne, and Bubba (Rian). She is also survived by her sisters Mary and husband Harold Sherman, Goldie and husband Buddy Tucker, Thomasine Blueback, Angel and husband Michael Thompson, and brother Morgan Grass. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren from a very large family who she was a sister, aunt, mom, and grandma to.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, mother Martha Williams, sisters: Cynthia Littlevoice, Novaline Shipp, and Galedia Thicknail, her brothers: Sequoia and Kim Grass, and her son Lonnie Lynn Harris.
