Allana Joy Buffalohead
July 26, 1988 ~ February 1, 2023 (age 34)
Allana Joy Buffalohead, "Sha-Bay-Kay-Wha-Thay", was born July 26,1988 to Pete Buffalohead and Stephanie LeClair at Claremore, Oklahoma. She is an enrolled member of the Ponca Tribe of Oklahoma along with Kiowa, Muscogee Creek and Mississippi Choctaw. Allana is the mother of three beautiful children, Yeniah Oskee Murphy, Yenuzah Eka Murphy and Layana Minnie Stark.
She was the 2006 Ponca Tribal Princess and after graduating high school Allana joined the Army where she trained as a M.P. She was stationed at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas. After her time in the service Allana moved her family to California where they resided for the past 10 years.
From a young age Allana loved to attend powwows and play sports. She was a beautiful, champion cloth dancer.
Allana leaves behind to cherish her memories, her children, her parents, Stephanie and Arlington LeClair Jr of Coweta, OK. and Pete and Jenny Buffalohead of Ponca City, OK. Her brothers, Keetha Buffalohead, Jordan LeClair, Arlington LeClair III, Byron LeClair and Nelson Roughface III. Her sisters, Avery LeClair, Lila Roughface, Daniell Leach, Jennifer Moses and Cheyela Ward. Her grandparents, Jerry and Josephine Deere, Barbara Stumblingbear. Nephews, Noah Colombe, Malikai Sittinghorse, Donangeh Zhinga Buffalohead, Julius Lookout, Nickolas Rodriguez and Jaxon Enloe. Nieces, Victoria LeClair, Eva LeClair, Genesia LeClair, Mahpiya Buffalohead Dawnena Rush, Kenleigh Warrior, and Wihe Warrior. Along with a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, February 3, 2023, 2 p.m. at the Ponca Cultural Center. Burial will follow immediately after at the Ponca Tribal Cemetery.
