Funeral services for Van G. Soika, 76, will be 2 PM Friday in the Chapel of the E. M. Trout and Sons Funeral Home. The Rev. R. O. Martin, pastor of the Kaw City Methodist Church, will officiate. Immediately following services in the Chapel, Odd Fellow rites will be conducted.
Pallbearers will be Ed Reily, H. E. Wikie, D. D. Webb, Chester Adkins, George Friday and J. W. McDonald. Burial will be in the I00F Cemetery.
The family has suggested that persons wishing to honor Soika's memory may do so by making contributions to the Heart Fund through Wilfrid Johnson, Treasurer at the First National Bank.
Soika, a resident of Ponca City since 1923, died early Wednesday morning in Ponca City Hospital after an illness of several years. Prior to his retirement 11 years ago he had been a representative of the J. R. Watkins Company and the Good Samaritan Life Insurance Company.
