Dallas E. Russsell ~ ~ ~1901-1983

Dallas E. Russell, longtime Ponca City resident, died Tursday evening in St. Joseph Medical Center. He was 81.
Russell had made his home at 118 West Detroit for the past 42 years. Born July 23, 1901 in Eagle Rock, Mo., to George Emery and Ella Russell, he moved with his family as a small child to Paris, Texas where he was educated.
He came to Ponca City in 1925 and married Opal Kuhns in July 1926, He was retired from Mid-West Creamery.
Surviving are his wife of the home, two sons, Jack Russell of Ponca City, and Larry Russell of Vinita; three daughters, Mrs. Richard (Carol Sue) Brown of Ponca City, and Darlene Hein and Leta Hock, both of Houston; two brothers, five sisters, 20 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sons.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday in the First Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Albert Cascioli, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery under direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
