Raymond D. Robinson, resident of Shidler, OK passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2020. He was 77 years old. A funeral ceremony for Ray will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, August 7, 2020 at the Trout Funeral Home Chapel. Following the ceremony he will be laid to rest with military honors at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Ponca City. Casketbearers will be: Todd Robinson, Korey Pruitt, Caleb Shatz, Arthur Ahearn, Roy Hooper and Jacob Moore. Honorary Casketbearers will be: Jamie Robinson, Jeremy Pixley, Allen Pixley, Andy Ahearn, and his brothers.
Ray's family will be available to greet friends on Thursday, August 6, 2020 from 5-7pm at the Trout Funeral Home.
Ray was born on June 5, 1943 in Sand Springs, OK to his parents, Ernest and Zola Robinson. He graduated from Kaw City High School and attended Rose State College in Oklahoma. Ray proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He married Drenda Marie Martin on October 22, 1966 in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Ray worked as an X-Ray technician for several years before joining Conoco and working in the oil field.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Norma Pixley.
Survivors include his wife, Drenda Robinson of Shidler, OK, daughter, Angela Robinson of Shidler, OK, son, Aaron and wife Kim of Kaw City, OK, step-grandson, Chris Schoonover of Ponca City, brothers, Galen Robinson and wife Dela, Richard Robinson and wife Janie of Webb City, OK, Gary Robinson and wife Joy of Fittstown, OK and Leslie Robinson and wife Elaine of Berryville, Arkansas, sisters, Deloris Ahearn and husband Leroy of Vilonia, Arkansas and Marlene Wise and husband Glen of Converse, TX.
Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.
