Mary Rouse
November 6, 1958 - May 24, 2025

Mary Rouse, 66, was called to her eternal resting place on May 24, 2025. She entered this world on November 6, 1958, in Tulsa, OK, born to John and Nancy McCalla. Mary grew up in the greater Tulsa area, travelling with her family while her father worked in the oil fields. Mary was a beloved mother to all her children and stepchildren.

Mary lived a very full life. She worked in retail and was wonderful at her job. She truly enjoyed working and serving the public. When not working she would find time to be with her horses that she so loved and obliging her husband on motorcycle excursions. She even loved to go fishing. Mary didn’t just love her children and grandchildren; she was also quite fond of spoiling her cat.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Rouse of Ponca City, Oklahoma; her daughter, Jenny Devecsery of Fayetteville, Arkansas; her son, David Mattingly of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; her stepsons, Joel Rouse of Claremore, Oklahoma and Jason Rouse of Ponca City, Oklahoma; her sister, Cathey McCalla-Cox of Idaho Springs, Colorado; her 13 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 2:00pm at Grace Memorial Chapel, 2016 N 14th St. Burial will follow immediately at Ponca City Odd Fellows Cemetery. Memories and condolences can be shared with the family on the online guest registry at www.gracememorialchapel.net.
