June 1, 1957 - August 5, 2021Paul Edward Purser of Blackwell, Oklahoma passed away on August 5, 2021 at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 64 years.
Paul Edward Purser was born on June 1, 1957 in Ponca City, Oklahoma the son of Glen Zenith Purser and Thelma Jean (Loucks) Purser.
He graduated from Blackwell High School in 1975 and went to work for the City of Blackwell in the street department. He then worked for Walmart in the lawn and garden department for the last 40 years. He was a very dedicated employee, and always enjoyed helping others. He also enjoyed classic rock, classic cars and firearms.
Paul is survived by the nephew he raised, Chad Purser of Norman, Oklahoma; and his brother, Mark Purser (Carol) of Royse City, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Leah Ann Purser.
Viewing for Paul will take place from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday at Roberts and Son Funeral Home.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Matt Smith officiating. Burial will follow in IOOF Cemetery in Ponca City, Oklahoma.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Blackwell Fire Department’s Christmas Gift Drive, sent in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
