April 21, 1934 - November 26, 2020

Walter William “Bill” Phillips, age 86, of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away November 24, 2020, at his home. A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 30, 2020, at Trout Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Williams officiating. He will be laid to rest at Odd Fellows Cemetery following the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.

Bill was born April 21, 1934, in Marland, Oklahoma, on the 101 Ranch, to Luther and Roxie (Thompson) Phillips. He spent his childhood in Alabama and Oklahoma, graduating from Ponca City High School in 1953.He was in the United States Army, stationed in Germany.

He married Glenda Chamberlin Phillips, and had two daughters, Annette Bogue and Patricia Gray.

He retired from Walmart in 2007 with 22 years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Glenda, daughter Annette (Jeff) Bogue of Allen, TX, daughter Patti Gray of Bella Vista, AR, sister Betty Caudill of East Liverpool, OH, granddaughter Emily (Jordan Roseberry) of Rowlett, TX, grandson William Bogue (fiancé Courtney Stevens) of Allen, TX, two great-granddaughters, brothers-in-law John (Sharon) Chamberlin, Jim (Maureen) Chamberlin, sister-in-law Virginia Lessert, all of Ponca City, and Teresa (David) Lewis of Broken Arrow, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, sister Winna Fay Aguinaga, son-in-law Brad Gray, brother-in-law Joe Chamberlin, and sister-in-law Nancy Chamberlin.

Casketbearers will be John P. Chamberlin, John M. Chamberlin, Jim Chamberlin, Jeff Bogue, William Bogue, and Jordan Roseberry. Honorary casket bearers will be Brett Hambleton and Dave Hambleton.
