Lily Pauline O'Kelley
February 27, 1925 - March 15, 2024
Lily "Pauline" O'Kelley, long time resident of Ponca City, OK, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024, at the age of 99.
Her graveside service will be 3 PM, Thursday, March 21, 2024 at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, 1201 S. Waverly, Ponca City, OK 74601. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601, with Pastor Josh Garza to officiate. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
She married Jean O'Kelley on March 16, 1945. The day after her death, she was able to celebrate her 79th wedding anniversary with her husband in Heaven.
Pauline was born February 27, 1925 to Elmer and Ethel Jones. She attended Ponca City schools through High School graduation. She worked at the Kress store for 2 years, then she was employed at Conoco for 42 years in the oil accounting department, retiring at age 62.
Pauline enjoyed traveling with her friends and family. She liked cruises, horse racing, ballroom dancing, and numerous trips over the years. She was an accomplished seamstress and tailor, and made many clothes for herself and her daughter. She excelled at both flower and vegetable gardening.
Pauline took great joy in rearing her family with Jean, and showed her love everyday.
She is survived by her son, Jeff O'Kelley and wife Barbara, daughter Jill and husband Jeff Curtis, two granddaughters, Kendra and husband Zac Ladner, Kayla and her husband Brandon Ailey, 4 great grandsons, Brady & Riley Ladner, and Breck & Dace Ailey
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three siblings, Chester, Esther, Willie and their spouses.
Donations can be made to the Northern Oklahoma Humane Society, 900 W. Prospect, Ponca City, OK 74601, to save as many animals as possible in honor of her late Pomeranian, "Rosie" & her precious blonde cocker spaniel, "Elly".
