Helen Louise Myers, resident of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2020, at Willow Haven Nursing Home in Tonkawa. She was 89.
A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 7, 2020 at the Trout Funeral Home Chapel, with Gary Wilburn, officiating. Face masks are required. For those unable to attend, the ceremony will be livestreamed. Go to www.troutfuneralhome.com and click the livestream link in the top right hand corner between 1:45 PM and 2:00 PM. Burial will then follow at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.
Helen was born on October 30, 1931 to Harry A Barnhart and Irene L (Weir) Barnhart in Ponca City, OK. She traveled with her parents attending various elementary and junior high schools. She graduated Ponca City High School.She was married to James E. Myers on September21, 1956 in Wichita Kansas.
Helen worked at Boeing before her marriage and after also for Gibsons and the Kay County Health Dept. retiring on April 30, 1996. She was involved with the Baptist Church and taught Sunday School. She enjoyed her grandchildren and her pets.
She is survived by daughters, Belinda Gay Gildhouse, Teresa Parker of Ponca City, and D'Ann Barnhart of Edmond, sons, Alan Myers of Ponca City and Mike Myers of Tarboro, N.C. and brother in law Marion Myers of Kansas City and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents two grandsons and two brothers.
