Ilene K. McMillin, lifelong resident of Ponca City, passed Friday, February 7, 2014 in Oklahoma City. She was 83 years of age.
Ilene was born October 17, 1930 in Ponca City, the daughter of Jay Kelley and Daisy May Moreland Kelley. She was a 1949 graduate of Ponca City High School. She was married to Melbourne Harve McMillin on September 8, 1956 in Ponca City.
Ilene was a member of the First Lutheran Church since 1984. Her enjoyments were her family, her beloved animals, walking, exercising, traveling, and visiting with neighbors.
She is survived by her four children, Dennis McMillin and wife Phyllis, of North Richland Hills, Texas, Janice Shea of Ponca City, Joyce Bruce of Ponca City and Jenifer McMillin and husband Rick Davis, of Cullman, Alabama 11 grandchildren, Kellen Odom, Karly McMillin, Jamie Floyd, Jay Bellinghausen, Donnie McMillin, Teresa Aguirre, Devin Aguirre, Lana Freeman, Sylvia Aker, Veronica Aguirre and Andrew Aguirre 9 great grandchildren, Shelby Floyd, Brady Floyd, Zoe Freeman, Zander Freeman, Cort Freeman, Bentley Aker, William Aker, Kenny Ray Smith and Lexis Ortiz 3 more great grandchildren on the way in the next few months and numerous other loving family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents her husband, Melbourne, on November 15, 1988 two sisters, Lela May Engling and Ilenes twin sister Ionne Ellickson.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Grace Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held at the First Lutheran Church at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 12, 2014 with Pastor Jeremy May presiding. Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
