April 29, 1942 - August 10, 2018

William "Kent" Malone, "Panpa/Pamps", passed on to his Maker on Friday August 10, 2018, with his family at his bedside. May the Lord bless him and keep him.

The funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at 2pm at the Albright United Methodist Church with the Rev. April Coates officiating. Burial will follow at the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Arrangements are made under the direction of Trout Funeral Home and Crematory.

William "Kent" Malone was the son of Thomas Edwin "Ed" Malone and Geanie Beatrice (Waggoner) Malone. He was born on April 29, 1942, in Ponca City, Okla. Kent attended Ponca City public schools, graduating PO-HI in 1960. On March 22, 1964 Kent married Margaret "June" Gadberry. They lived in Oklahoma City, Moore, Perry and moved back to Ponca City in 1971. Kent worked for Conoco beginning in 1972 and retired as a Coke Knocker.

Kent was a member of the Junior Rifle Club while in high school. He continued to enjoy shooting through-out his life. He attended the NRA banquet every year. Kent enjoyed bowling and bowled in several leagues. Kent was an avid golfer. Kent also enjoyed fishing and playing dominoes. Kent's greatest love was his family and friends and he never met a stranger. He took some classes at the University of Oklahoma and was an avid fan.

Kent is survived by his daughter Tommie Sue Dehn and husband Randy; son Monty Dale Malone and wife Donna; and daughter Shawn Kelly Cook and fiancé Steve Young all of Ponca City; grandchildren, Kristina (Dehn) Cavner and husband Fred of Yukon, Andrew Dehn, , Kari Walton of Ponca City, Corey White of Tulsa, Ryan Murphy, Travis Murphy and Kayla Street, Lara Patton and Justin Jenkins, Dalton Cook and wife Ashley all of Ponca City, Jordan Young and fiance Erik Dean of Coweta, Taryn Young of Ponca City; and 11 great grandchildren. His sister Gail Hardy of Tulsa, sister Linda Eiseman and husband Harold of Edmond and numerous nieces and nephews.

Kent was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret June "Granny" Malone in 2008; his parents Ed and Geanie Malone; his brother Wayne Malone, sister in law Kitty Malone and brother in law Kenneth Hardy.
