December 18, 1940 - December 26, 2025
Danny Joe Morgan, age 85, of Ponca City, passed away on December 26, 2025, at Bradbury Commons in Ponca City. Viewing will be held between 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm, Friday, January 2, 2026, at Trout Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Odd Fellows Cemetery pavilion, in Ponca City with Rev. Chris Short officiating. Danny will be laid to rest in his mausoleum following the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601.
Danny was born on December 18, 1940, in Ponca City to Milton and Estella Pauline (Swander) Morgan. Danny grew up in Ponca City, Ok. He graduated from Po-Hi in 1957 where he was the captain of the golf team that won PO-HI first ever state championship in golf. He also served in the Air Force. Danny married Wanda Johnston in Las Vegas in 1974. Danny worked for Conoco as an operation supervisor where he then retired in 1999 when Wanda became ill.
Survivors include Peanut. Danny was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda, and parents, Milton and Pauline.
Honorary casket bearers will be James Walker, Don Lampe, Richard Smith, Danny Martin, Ted Haun, Chris Short.
